What is this course?
For the first time ever, Jon Russell of TechCrunch is leading a workshop to give an insider’s view of Tech PR pitching.
This workshop will help you gain a better understanding of public relations tech related, focusing specifically on how to craft a pitch that will get noticed and covered by a tech journo.
Through an interactive workshop you will dig into the detail of pitching including practical dos and don'ts and how to maximise your chances of getting coverage. Then roll-up your sleeves and practice these skills in-class with an application portion with real-time feedback from Jon so that you can take what you’ve learned home and put into immediate action.
Who should join this course?
Participants who will benefit the most from this class will already work in a PR/marcomm role in a startup or SME that is tech focused and possess good to advanced oral and written communications skills and follow global tech news + social media regularly.
Jon Russell is an Asia-based writer for TechCrunch. He has been a reporter for TechCrunch since 2014 covering all things tech in Asia, in particular the major players in China, India and Southeast Asia. Originally from the UK, he is based in Bangkok and has lived in Thailand since 2008.
